* Well actually, it didn't crash. It wasn't properly 'secured' in the trailer before we took off and it went flying towards an early death.

We arrived home mid-July. I still have plans to finish our entries for posterity so the kids can look back in the years to come and appreciate this magnificent adventure we took as a family. Or, one can only hope. ;)
Stay tuned for additional entries in:
Arizona: Sedona
California: Palm Springs and Uncle Craig, Newport Beach, Monterrey, Morrow Bay
Washington: Klaloch...our last trip meeting up with the cousins before heading back to home-sweet-home!

THE GRAND CANYON: and a bike ride along the south rim
Once we arrived in the Grand Canyon we got to our site at Trailer Vilage on the south rim. It was over cast and rainy our first day but we really didn't mind after leaving 110 degree weather because we felt like we were back home.
Once we got the kids their ranger booklets we went to a ranger program where we listened to the 'sounds of the grand canyon' and the rock-n-roll ranger led us in a few songs. We thought of Uncle Brad and how fun it would have been to have them here to lead us in some tunes.
The highlight of our stay was our bike ride along the south rim. We even had a couple of unexpected tour guides......
Suffice it to say, even with the overcast and hazy weather the beauty of the canyon was spectacular. As you can see by all the pictures it was hard to leave many out.
