GRAND CANYON south rim: a bike ride with a view.....and a few elk/deer?

Jeff took this today before we left the mighty Grand Canyon.  The bike ride along the rim was THE BEST PART of our stay but also for mom the scariest since I'm such a freak-o-rama when it comes to heights, danger, peril....etc.  Even though it doesn't look like it we were doing our best not to disturb the deer/elk (Brian...can you help me out here...elk? deer? mule deer?...the kind with big fuzzy wuzzy antlers?).

PS..we're behind with entries from Bryce Canyon and Zion Utah (and now Grand Canyon) but as soon as we get to internet access for an extended period we can catch up.  We're STILL having a blast although the kids (especially Jack) missed the fireworks at home.

We're in Cottonwood, Arizona tonight, tomorrow and the next day to explore Sedona (15 minutes away) and Slide Rock State Park.
